Non-Profits

‘I Have A Dream’ was a project done with a non-profit organization Pomirenje in Zenica. The organization works on removing kids off the street and giving them a daily shelter. On the Human Right’s Day, Oct. 10, 2011, I worked with Italian photographer Lara Ciarabellini and a Bosnian photographer Haris Badzic. The project was a part of the Help-Portrait Inc., and the idea was to have photographers come together and ‘give’ a photo to those in need, instead of ‘taking’ one. The day before the event, I asked each kid what they dream on becoming. Our story was featured as the story of the day on the Help Portraits site.

I also worked with Sanela Redzepagic Foundation, a local NGO whose goal is to collect money for a mobile mammograph. Sanela Redzepagic was 39 when died of breast cancer and her family including sister Larisa Gavran, wants to enable a breast exam to those who live around Zenica and do not have access to it.

I work with Lotos, an NGO working with kids with special needs, and I also work with Romano Centro, who works with the minority group, gypsies, on educating them and offering them shelter.
